Taylor Quintero

Taylor Quintero is originally from Denton, TX where she began the core of her training with Hugh Nini at The Denton Ballet Academy. During her time there, she performed various Nutcracker roles with the studio including Clara, Rose Queen, Lead Reed, Lead Spanish, and Arabian Princess. In 2001 she was given the opportunity to spend the summer in the south of France training with former etoile of the Paris Opera Ballet, Danielle Villers.

Taylor then went on to study at the University of North Texas under Arlene Sugano for 2 years before transferring to Southern Methodist University in 2005 and receiving her BFA in Dance Performance. While living in Dallas, she performed professionally with Festival Ballet of North Texas and Contemporary Ballet Dallas.

In the summer of 2010, Taylor moved to the city of Chicago and danced 2 seasons under Chicago Dance Crash. This company expanded her knowledge and physicality in the worlds of acrobatics, athleticism, and risk-taking movement. While dancing under Crash, Taylor had the opportunity to work with many artists including Paul Christiano, Nick Pupillo, Jon Lehrer, and Stephanie Martinez.

Taylor then went on to dance for three seasons with Aerial Dance Chicago. While dancing with ADC, Taylor had numerous opportunities to perform with Redmoon Theater in various productions and locations around Chicago. In the summer of 2015, Taylor had her first professional company choreography premiere, "Touch-Grab-Hold." The Chicago Tribune reviewed her work as having: "inventive floor choreography, like a quirky cascade of twisting hands and flipped forearms, with great stage presence and a powerful sense of connection."

She is in her 7th year teaching with Preston Center Dance and is the Performing Company Director for Ruby, Topaz, Crystal, Sapphire, and Emerald Companies
