Broadway Bound

Broadway Bound is a company designed for the student that excels in musical theatre, voice, and dance performance. These students participate in many community events throughout the year as well as our spring recitals and Teamwork Concert. There are three levels in our Broadway Bound company.

Members of Broadway Bound are selected through an audition process. It is not required for students to currently be enrolled in classes at PCD to audition. If chosen for Broadway Bound, company members must enroll in their Broadway Bound Company class, as well as a musical theatre class at PCD. They are strongly encouraged to enroll in other dance technique classes like jazz or tap to maintain and improve technique.

Broadway Bound Company Requirements

• You must take both your Broadway Bound company class and an open Musical Theatre class. If you are chosen for the Junior Theatre Festival ensemble, that can take the place of the open Musical Theatre class. Junior Theatre Festival ensemble members are chosen from the Broadway Bound company.

• You are encouraged to take as many other classes as you like to supplement your musical theatre training.

• You must be available for all performances unless you have a school conflict or dance competition. All conflicts must be reported to the director of Broadway Bound as soon as possible.

• Regular class attendance is mandatory and strictly enforced. Company members are allowed a total of three (3) unexcused absences per year. You will not be permitted to perform if you miss too many classes prior to an event.
